The Producer

In 1942, the firm CAVES IMPÉRIO - Imperial Vinícola, Lda. Is dedicated, dedicated to the production of wines and liqueurs, adopting, in 1981, the designation of CAVES IMPÉRIO, S.A.
As early as 1943, thanks to its location and the commitment of its partners, it was possible to build the first warehouse and the first cellar for the aging of wines and the production of natural sparkling wines using the champagne method.
In the following years, the facilities were increased, its product range was extended and its qualities were improved in order to satisfy the most demanding consumer.
Currently, CAVES IMPÉRIO is one of the largest companies in the wine and derivatives sector, with its facilities having a covered area of more than 10,000 m2, a wine cellar with a capacity of about 3,000,000 liters and a cellar with a capacity for about of 2,000,000 aging bottles.
